Whether they contain buildings or simply open land, parcels are the building blocks of Crowfall’s world composition. These assets will not only figure into improving Eternal Kingdoms, but are also key in the flow and process for creating campaign maps.
The livesteaming event on Thursday, August 18, on the official Crowfall Twitch channel will focus on these essential elements. The first segment begins at 11 am Central. Jon O’Neal, lead environment artist, will demonstrate the creation of parcels and how he can incorporate different environmental assets like parcel shapes, ground textures, lakes, trees, rocks, and roads. (Some components Jon’s working with are in a ‘greybox’ state, so you may want to watch this video to better understand the purpose of these placeholders.)
The second segment begins at 2 pm Central with UX Design Lead Billy Garretsen. Billy will show how he transforms the parcels created by Jon into iconized versions for use with the building tools.
